Touchscreen monitor or Kit?

A touchscreen kit usually includes a touchscreen panel, a controller board, and a USB or serial cable to connect it to your computer. You are required to mount all the panels and PCBs into your kiosk, connect it to the controller board and then attach the board to your computer.

A touchscreen monitor is a standalone device that integrates all the above parts together in one compact package. You can simply connect it to your computer using a USB and HDMI cable. Plug and play.

Both methods can build up demanding kiosks for businesses, however, In some important aspects, a kit or touchscreen monitor does have its own features and benefits. Here are some for your reference.

What goes around, comes around: Installation without the help and fencing of a touchscreen monitor’s cover and housing may cause interference with radio and television communications, putting the risk of function failure and potential of hardware damage. Touch monitor, on the other hand, offers a safe Umbrella of anti-interference to lower the risk of interference especially to avoid the noise to the touchscreen sensor. In our experience, Interference can cause a lot of issues with touchscreens, including ghost touch or no touch at all.
